SASSON SOIREE: CYRUS UNDER SIEGE

What: An evening of high art, culture and cocktails. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, gift bags, and an art gallery featuring fashion illustrations and paintings by acclaimed Canadian artist Frederick Watson, works from the private collection of fashion photographer Arline Malakian, and a 7-panel mural by Israeli Canadian artist Dubie Arie.

Why: The evening was in celebration of the launch of SASSON Magazine’s 2007 edition and dedicated to creating awareness of the impending destruction of the 2,500-year-old historic ruins of the Parsgard. (The ruins include archaeological treasures from the time of King Cyrus the Great.)

When: The event took place on May 14, 2007 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
