(Tip: If all else fails, go to WaySpa to get your mother a lovely massage or pedicure at the spa of your choice.)

GLAMOUR & GLAMOUR

-compiled by Courtney Blackman, London correspondent

What: North Londoner Isi Victoria Rockley, designer of Glamour & Glamour, constructs glamorous clothing for women that require something extra special. She draws inspiration from across the pond (old Hollywood to be exact), using luxurious silks and chiffons to recreate looks that would have pleased Cleopatra, Scarlett O’Hara, and Holly Golightly.

Why: Although her designs aren’t easy on the wallet (approximately $1,000 to $1,300), each customer receives a unique dress made specially for them.

ECSTASY

What: Ecstasy, a dark romantic comedy based on the controversial book Ecstasy by Irvine Welsh (who also wrote Trainspotting with Ewan Macgregor) is looking for musical talent! Ecstasy film producers are looking for bands and artists to submit songs for consideration to be included in the film and soundtrack.

Why: Winners will have their song heard in the film and on the film’s soundtrack. Artists on the soundtrack include Paolo Nutini, Iggy Pop, Bob Marley, Supertramp, The Undertones, The Chemical Brothers, and The Stone Roses. Ecstasy’s cast includes Erica Durance, Billy Boyd, and Richard E. Grant.

J&S JEWELS SALE

What: Necklaces, bracelets, and earrings made with sterling silver and adorned with semi-precious stones, fresh water pearls, and gold plated charms.

Why: Their one-of-a-kind pieces offer options for every age and style as their designs range from classic short strands of pearls to stylish long pendants.

When: May 12, 2007 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. (Tip: The girls only accept cash or checks, so come prepared!)

HAPPY FEET

What: It’s getting closer to summer, a.k.a. sandal season, and it’s safe to say that our feet have been feeling pretty neglected. It’s time for Tweezerman and O.P.I. to step in and do the dirty work. Pick up a Tweezerman 2-Way Callus Shaver ($6) and use it on moist heels to get rid of excess dead skin cells (caution: only use if you are somewhat experienced!) followed by scrubbing heels down with a Tweezerman Eco Stone ($4). For smooth feet, slather on O.P.I.’s Green Tea Scrub followed by their White Tea Massage cream. Next, clip those toe nails, smooth out the edges with a Tweezerman Glass Pedicure File ($15), and push back cuticles with the Tweezerman Arched Pusher and Cleaner. For a fresh look, go with a French pedicure (O.P.I. shades Birthday Babe and No Bees Please), a punchy pink shade (Make Love or Strawberry Fields), or even bright orange (Tangerine Scene).
